FAQs
Is a deposit required?
After the initial consultation, if client confirms to proceed with the design phase, a deposit of S$500 is required. Prior to going into production, when client approves the 3D computer illustration, a 50% deposit on the final quotation is also required.
Is there a minimum charge to do bespoke jewellery?
While some companies practise imposing a minimum charge before they will take on a bespoke project, we do not believe in such policies. The only upfront payment needed is the S$500 deposit once we have started the design process.
Transparent pricing is our ethos. Clients can expect manufacturing costs for gold jewellery to start from S$1,000 (depending on ring sizes and weight of gold needed), excluding gemstone costs which could start from $100 for affordable options like smaller carat topazs, garnets or amethysts.
When is payment required?
Other than the initial deposit of S$500, once the 3D computer illustration is approved and a final quotation is given, 50% payment has to be made. The remaining 50% will have to be paid when the final item is delivered.
How many design changes can I make?
We strive to propose a good range of options for client's selection. Once the final design is confirmed, we will proceed with the 3D computer illustration for client's approval. Should the client decide to choose a completely new design instead, up to 1 change is allowed and a new 3D drawing will be resubmitted for approval. Thereafter, S$80 will be charged for every subsequent change. Manufacturing will proceed only after the final 3D drawing is confirmed.
What if I decide not to proceed with the manufacturing after reviewing the CAD illustration?
The deposit of S$500 will be forfeited and any other charges incurred, such as gem testing fees, will have to be paid by client.
How many consultation sessions are needed to finalise the design?
Typically, 3 to 4 sessions of face-to-face discussions are preferred in order to finalise the perfect design for client's bespoke jewellery. Thereafter, CAD illustration approval can be done via communication tools. Final delivery has to be in-person to see if the item fits well, or slight adjustments are needed.
How long is the manufacturing leadtime?
Design phase takes 2-4 weeks, depending on client's availability and number of changes.
Thereafter, when the final 3D drawing has been approved, please allow 4 to 6 weeks (excluding weekends and holidays) for the item to be ready. If clients require a specific delivery date, kindly inform in advance.
How can I be sure of the authenticity of your gems?
Some of our gems come with certificates. We can also issue reports at S$80 per stone from established local laboratories upon client's request. If an issue arises and the gem is found to be synthetic or not the same gem type promised, we will honour a full refund on the stone and reimburse the report cost.
What materials do you use?
We only work with natural gemstones, and gold or platinum. 14K/18K/22K in yellow, rose or white gold are possible; other colours can be electroplated but they tend to fade easily and are not recommended. At this point, we do not work with silver yet.
Why should we engage your services?
We believe in delivering the best personalised service and are committed to bringing the true concept of "Bespoke" back to jewellery design.
